We are one of Europe’s greenest data centers.
Sustainability is at the core of our mission and values. In addition to running on renewable power and operating with one of the lowest PUEs in the world, our CO2 emissions are low, and our footprint is limited. The mine was already in place, and the material required to build out capacity is limited.
The main part of the facility is not visible in the natural surroundings. There is no need for evaporative systems for cooling and our WUE (Water Usage Effectiveness) is zero.

Renewable Power
Norway is unique in having a large surplus production of renewable, low-cost power. Norway is ranked number 1 in the world on secure, accessible, and diversified energy supply. As much as 98.5 % of the country's total power production is hydroelectric. Norway produces nearly twice as much renewable energy as any other Nordic country.
[Sustainable Recycling]
Circularity
We will reuse all heated return water generated from our operations. Our cooling solution is based on a stable supply of cold water that is used to cool down the IT installations. The cold water will be heated using different technologies. The heated return water is transported out of the facility. Several projects out on how to optimize the effect obtainable from the heated return water have been scoped. The project closest to an investment decision is currently an onshore fish farm.
