We aim to use regional suppliers
Our strategy is to use regional suppliers when building out our facility; 70-80% of our investments are done with suppliers located within 45 minutes of our facility. This generates turnover, creates jobs, and educates our suppliers to be able to take a leading position in our ecosystem.
Over time, Lefdal Mine Datacenter plans to invest 600 million Euros in building out the facility. Over the next 10 years, there will be a continuous build out followed by and a retrofitting process. This enables regional suppliers to plan for growth, hire staff, and train employees.

Inclusion of specific suppliers
When building out infrastructure it is also a natural to include specific suppliers in our preventative maintenance program. This is strategically important for Lefdal Mine Datacenter, spreading the risk of competence and available man hours within our ecosystem.
Many of our suppliers recruit from local educational institutions. Lefdal Mine Datacenter plays an active role at these institutions educating students on the data center industry and the future need for a competent workforce. Together, we have built a new industry in the region which delivers some of the world's leading data center infrastructure and services.
